The Reynolds Number and the Reynolds Apparatus

Описание к видео The Reynolds Number and the Reynolds Apparatus

MEC516/BME516 Fluid Mechanics: Osbourne Reynolds' famous experiment to characterize laminar to turbulent flow transition in a pipe is discussed. The Reynolds Apparatus is used to visualize laminar and turbulent flow in a round smooth pipe. The effect of the flow regime on pressure loss and pumping power is also discussed. This video is a supplement to MEC516/BME516 Lab 2.
