Owasso Beats Bixby 40 21

The 2024 season kicked off with a bang in Owasso on Friday night as the #4 Rams would knock off top-ranked Bixby 40-21. Owasso made quite the statement in their season opener, beating a Bixby team that was 74-1 in their last 75 games and have won the last two 6A-1 state titles and six straight state championships. This game got off to a fast start with both teams striking with big plays. However the majority of the first half was a defensive battle after both teams settled in. The Rams would pull away in the second half and they won this game with dominant play along the line of scrimmage and a breakout performance from a junior wide receiver Tahkari Bethel.
