Review of the North American Arms, NAA 22 Long Rifle Mini-Revolver, model NAA-22LR (https://goo.gl/SkQ3hy). This particular Mini Revolver variant is the 1 1/18 inch barrel. Purchased by my wife, she was interested in adding this small pistol to her collection due to its tiny size (she has small hands), and the aftermarket synthetic mother of pearl grips she found.

The NAA Mini Revolver is available in various barrel lengths, such as the NAA-22LLR with a longer 1 5/8 inch barrel. It also has convertible model for switching cylinders between .22lr and .22 WMR. The Mini Revolver has a 5-round capacity, 4 inch overall length, and weighs 4.5 ounces. Its an interesting novelty and a fun conversation piece, but holds very little practical value as a concealed carry gun, vehicle defense pistol, home defense pistol, varmint hunting firearm, or even really that much fun to shoot for recreation. Loading and Shooting the Mini Revolver looses its attraction for me after about 15 rounds, or three cylinder reloads.

In the video we test out the NAA 22 Mini Revolver by shooting some various ammunition. We demonstrate how to remove the barrel, by pulling the under-barrel retaining pin/rod, and then fully removing the revolver's cylinder from the frame. From there, its as simple as loading the five rounds of .22lr, replacing the cylinder into the frame of the gun, and securing it in place with the retaining rod.

We also show some accuracy from the NAA Mini Revolver, with some pretty surprising results. For a revolver with only a front fixed blade sight, and no rear sight to use, hitting much past 10 yards is a struggle - especially for the tiny fire control group and overall size of the mini revolver.

After the shooting segment, we take the .22lr Mini Revolver onto the workbench and demonstrate some operating features, how to disassemble for cleaning and lubrication, and go over comparisons of the different models available from North American Arms.

Due to its budget price tag and readily available inventory, it makes for a great gift for a loved one or friend. The better half will have a heirloom-worthy firearm, which can be customized to fit their style, and would be something to pass along to future generations as a keep sake. Overall an excellent buy for the price, if the buyer has a reasonable understanding of the purpose of these types of novelty firearms.
