My Rainy Day Trip to A-Pit Autobacs Shinonome | Car Enthusiast's Tokyo Adventure

On a rainy Tokyo day, cataloging what to see and do while in the city...and my highlights from visiting the legendary A-Pit Autobacs Shinonome — traveling by train to Tatsumi station. Under the rain I strolled over the Tatsumi Bridge and passed in front of Ricoland Tokyo Bay, something like that before arriving at A-Pit Autobacs Shinonome.

Free self-parking is available round-the-clock for those with wheels. Parking is free of charge in the 1st hour, while from 8 AM to 10 PM on the weekdays you have to pay ¥1,500 and on weekends as wellas holidays ¥3,000 with an additional cost of ¥300 every half an hour. For those who park between 10 PM and 8 AM on the following day, the maximum fee is ¥500. It is a Public parking lot, and it works great for busy drivers.

A-PIT Autobacs: Here It Is Split Into Three Floors Located on the 1st floor is the well equipped pit area and workspace for car repairs and tuning. 2nd Floor: Car supplies, audio systems/nav devices, CS Tsutaya BOOKS/STARBUCKS/Domeland And last but not least, the 3rd floor of car parts heaven where they keep all dress-up and tuning parts. All top brands available for all you car modders such as Koito, IPF, Bellof Headlight, Piaa Wipers, TEIN suspension Recaro Seats MOMO Nismo Dixcel Brake Pads RAYS Wheels Fujitsubo Exhaust GReddy & HKS and more. There are even car books and magazines that you can look through, with some familiar faces like the Subaru STI and BRZ.

You can rest on the 2nd floor with a Starbucks after your exploring. And if you will travel from abroad, do not miss your passport so that you can also take advantage of other international discount! The trip was the perfect blend of car culture and local charm —A-PiIT Autobacs Shinonome is a must-see for any gearhead in Tokyo.
