I'm so excited to be using Nancy Larson Science this year for our elementary science! After approaching the company to learn more about their science curriculum, Nancy Larson Science graciously sent us the complete kit for Science Level 1, which we will be using for both my kindergartener and my second grader, in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Nancy Larson Science has complete kits for grades K-4 that include ALL your lab supplies, visual aids, living books, student materials, and a scripted teacher's guide. As someone with an extensive science background, sometimes I found myself skipping over things that seemed obvious to me, or failing to linger over fascinating details in elementary science. I love the scripted guide because it encourages me to take a Socratic approach with my kids, asking them questions and drawing them into a verbal exploration of the topics we read about in the included books - instead of only reading to them or asking them to fill out a workbook.

Moreover, receiving ALL the science supplies and lab materials that we would need this year was such an enormous relief! I can't tell you how many times I failed to do an experiment last year because we simply didn't have whatever "common household item" the instructions called for - such as a straw or a spool.
