“The Tale of Frost” – A Dark Folk Ballad ❄️
A haunting Mythical tale and medieval lament about those who endure alone yet have great Love and compassion Born from, and despite, great pain and and loneliness, and the consequences of it going unnoticed or unappreciated, all too often...until it's too late.
In a world of endless winter, a giant offers his flame to all, only to be met with fear and scorn and apathy, Rejected despite having so much to give.
As the years pass As strong as he was, No one can endure the cold alone forever.
Without shared warmth the frost consumes not only the land, but the hearts of those who were left alone.... Do you know someone like that? Have you reached out to them? Will you heed the warning?
This song blends dark folk and ethereal medieval tones, with haunting female vocals, harp, and ghostly atmosphere.
It tells a tale of loss and warning — a legend sung by wandering bards at the edge of frozen kingdoms.

Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
In a land where the night is long,
Where the cold devours the strong,
Every heart holds a fragile spark,
Too dim,
to banish the endless dark.
They feed on touch, on warmth, on care,
A fire shared by hearts that dare,
It keeps the night from closing in,
A flame that guards the spark within,
But where that gift is left to fade,
The soul will slip to shade.
[Verse 2]
By a barren field where no grass grows,
A giant waits where the north wind blows,
Hollow eyes and a battered frame,
But in his hand burns a mighty flame.
He offers to all,
his gift to one,
Enough to warm like the morning sun,
Enough to heal,
Enough to save,
A warmth far deeper than they gave,
[Chorus 1]
But the travelers hurry past,
Fearful eyes avert the blast,
Some throw stones and curse his name,
Others apathetic to his pain.
So he draws it to his chest,
Guards the fire as his last,
Alone against the biting air,
With a warmth no one will share.
[Verse 3]
Through the years he held it near,
Feeding flame with soul and tear,
Praying one would see his part,
Not a monster, just a heart.
But their footsteps drummed away,
None would linger, none would stay,
And the frost crept through his bones,
As he faced,
the cold,
alone.
[Chorus 2]
Still the travelers hurried past,
Fearful eyes avert the blast,
And he pressed it to his side,
While the final embers died.
When the dawn at last did break,
Snow had covered all his shape,
the road forgot his name,
the world had lost his flame.
[Bridge]
Years went by, the road grew bare,
When a woman wandered there.
Kneeling down, I brushed the frost,
And found the coal his life had cost.
In my hands, I saw what was and cried,
For all the warmth the world denied.
And I wept for what was thrown away,
The love they feared,
the heart they betrayed.
[Final Chorus]
So beware, you who walk in frost,
Do not fear the hearts you’ve crossed.
The brightest fire may fade unknown,
If left to burn in the dark, alone.
Do not turn from those who give,
Do not scorn the way they live,
For once their flame has slipped away,
No sun will bring the dawn that day
