Methodology
I wrote two trading algorithms which are available for free on intrendias.com on the Intrendias Terminal. The Mie Algorithm is a technical analysis algorithm that calculates popular technical analysis oscillators like the MACD, RSI, Bollinger Bands, and more to determine buy and sell signals. The Volume Breakout Algorithm leverages traded volume data, automatically finds key support and resistant price levels, and calculates technical analysis to provide buy and sell signals. My trading algorithm first considers stocks in the Nasdaq and S&P 500. Then the algorithm loops through all stocks, finds buy and sell signals for both the Mie and Volume Breakout Algorithms. In order for the buy and sell signals to have credence, the two years back test must be positive and outperforming the stock itself. Whichever algorithm has a higher rate of return is chosen as the primary algorithm for the current stock. If a buy signal is present for the stock, then the algorithm will purchase the stock using a pre-allocated amount. The algorithm will also sell if a sell signal appears for a stock.

Technology
The algorithms are written in python and leverages the Yahoo Finance API for stock High, Low, Close, Adjusted Close, and Volume data. The active buying and selling are achieved using the Alpaca Markets API.
