This is a what if where all the strategists survive up until Yiling. As Zhu Ran we're in charge of the fire attack which means we have to protect a peon to the fire attack point. Joy.

I made the unfortunate mistake of using Zhu Ran with his flame bow in both of his weapon slots. This is a mistake because Zhu Ran's moveset is a janky, slidey, hard to control mess of a moveset and is absolutely worthless under any kind of pressure. See, Koei decided they wanted a character you can aim with. But, a character standing still with no defenses on ultimate is a death sentence waiting to happen. So right away his aiming abilities are next to useless. Good luck manipulating your shots around an enemy that's guarding because Zhu Ran doesn't change his direction like a normal character, he sticks to one direction and just dashes where ever the analog is pointing. God help you if you're analog sticks slightly up like mine does and you want to just stay in place to shoot something.

Now how his moveset is suppose to go is that you mark enemies with your attacks, then use a charge attack so that his arrows will auto-target whoever was selected. One of his musous even does the same thing.(which the enemy officers will just block and not even take damage) This means he does piss poor damage if you don't target the enemies. He's also very bad against peons. Look Zhu Ran is like, sort of the worst. They wanted to try something different with his moveset and just made something annoying to use with the payoff for playing him right not even be worth it when you could just play someone else, or indeed just use a weapon that's not trash.

Good luck using him against the juggernauts in this stage, all while defending a peon.
