I borrowed an eBike for the day. Craziest ride in years!

eBikes are the future, right? They allow you to climb up far easier, leaving you less fatigued for the descents and able to ride further (within the limits of the battery). But how practical are they when you want to get up into the mountains, involving hike-a-biking to get to the summit? Will the weight be prohibitive? This has been on my mind for a long time as if it is too difficult to get them up to the top of where the best descents live, then they are pointless for the kind of riding I love the most.

Christian from Electric Mountain Biker was kind enough to lend me his eBike for the day so I headed off to Helvellyn in the Lake District to find out. What I hadn't bargained for was the adverse weather conditions. Join me as I try my best to review a Rocky Mountain Powerplay whilst riding through hell.
