🔥🔥Transistor as a switch🔥🔥
Uptill now I have done many videos on transistor circuits, but the important thing that I was missing to teach you guys about was "Using Transistor as a switch". The NPN BJT Transistor can be used as
1- Amplifier
2- Switch
The amplifier is the active region working of transistor where the amplifier works in linear region. The signal at the input either sine or cosine is amplified by the transistor amplifier, while using the proper DC biasing voltages.

On the other hand, the transistor can be operated as a switch in cutoff region (Transistor switch is turned off or open circuit) and in saturation region, that is the (Transistor switch is turned on or short circuit). When the transistor is short circuit means that it conducts the collector current through the load connected to its collector either it is a resistor or LED or a relay coil. When the transistor is open then it means that the collector current is not conducted and hence the load will get no current flow.

The transistor as a switch is used in common emitter configuration. Therefore the output waveform is 180 degree out of phase with the input waveform if the input is a square wave as shown in this video

The transistor switch is widely used in microcontroller circuits where the microcontroller GPIO ports can be used to control the relay coil by triggering the transistor base biasing voltage thus making it work as switch
