The story of the Clan Crusader

Ex-Lotus men Paul Hassauer and John Frayling tried to sell their affordable GRP-bodied coupé with Imp running gear, but the project was hit by a series of problems and relatively few were made before the project went belly up. But the Clan Crusader was sold on and revived, only to go through multiple iterations before morphing into the Alfa Romeo-engined Clan Clover in 1984. Sadly that project also failed after just 26 cars had been made.
