Nintendo Ends Gilvasunner's Channel (Copyright Strikes)

Описание к видео Nintendo Ends Gilvasunner's Channel (Copyright Strikes)

In this video, I talk about the recent termination of Gilvasunners YouTube channel courtesy of Nintendo.

The Gilvasunner YouTube channel was hit by over 3500 copyright strikes within the span of 1 week by Nintendo.

For over 11 years the channel uploaded videogame soundtracks from popular Nintendo games and was often used as a resource by many to listen to their favorite pieces of music from their favorite Nintendo games. Nintendo has had a long history of using copyright law in order to shutdown fan content on the internet and the humble videogame soundtrack channel has proven to be no exception. While Nintendo is legally allowed to issues these strikes, that doesn't mean that these strike are reasonable, especially since there is no official means of listening to these songs outside of the games they were made in.
So Join me in having a spiteful dunk on the beloved Japanese Videogame company.
