Community groups gathered outside the McCoart Government Building in Woodbridge ahead of a key vote on the Bristow Data Center Campus.

The proposal: two buildings, 540,000 square feet total, up to 75 feet tall — on land outside Prince William County’s official Data Center Overlay District. This is the fourth attempt to bring the project to a vote.

Speakers from across the county — including both Gainesville Supervisor candidates — called on the Board to delay the decision until Gainesville residents have representation following the death of Supervisor Bob Weir.

Concerns raised included:
⚡ Strain on the power grid and new transmission lines
💧 Heavy water use and rising utility bills
🏠 Impacts on neighborhoods and property values
🌳 Effects on Broad Run and community open space

The Bristow Campus debate comes as the much larger Prince William Digital Gateway remains tied up in court after a judge voided its rezoning approvals.
