One of the most fun short cycling routes I've mapped out for Nassau County, barring the Jones Beach and Bethpage State Park trails.

Starting from Adelphi in Garden City, take just a handful of smooth, wide, low traffic side streets to get to the Hempstead Turnpike bike trail. Take that to Eisenhower Park and do a nice little loop in the park, then go south on the Merrick Ave bike path for a bit until you reach Charles Lindbergh Blvd. Continue on the Charles Lindbergh bike path (passing NCC, Cradle of Aviation, Children's Museum, etc), then loop back around the other side of the Coliseum. Hop back on the Turnpike bike path back down past Hofstra and retrace the first few steps back to Adelphi.

Considering where this is in central Nassau, you have to deal with an amazingly low amount of traffic and very few big intersections and traffic lights. It's just about 15 miles on the dot.
