My music book review series is meant to look at books that intend to answer some of the most important things we want to know about music - I.e. How to compose, learn to write music, learn to arrange, learn music theory - and evaluate how well they discuss those topics.

Along with that, I want to discuss what makes a book ‘good’ - what makes it flow, how the argument is structured, and what kind of things can detract from the reading experience, through pointing out what makes different books difficult for me to read.
