Robert Nighthawk - Big Apple Blues

This is a recording from 1938 and Ramblin Bob it said on the original Bluebird label. Ramblin Bob that is Robert McCoy aka Robert Nighthawk vcls and guitar together with John Lee Sonny Boy Williamson and Speckled Red piano. Apparently there was a popular dance called the big apple at the time but this is hardly what has put Nighthawk off.He sings how things have gone bad since the woman has shown him her big apple. Maybe he doesn´t like big apples or it´s something like the biblical apple getting them thrown out of Eden. SBW1 has cut a track with the same title which is totally different in that he praises apples and how much he enjoys them.
