My name is Barbara Esses and I do events for a living. I'm Ruthie Hecht; I'm an event planner and I work with and for my mother. We're going to teach you the do's and don'ts for the perfect wedding. I love beach weddings. They're absolutely beautiful. There's no scenery hotel venue that's more beautiful than the ocean. Just be careful! There's a lot of wind there. So, nothing too flowy. It might seem like a nice idea to have fabric bellowing in the wind for your ceremony. But, fabric bellowing in your face is quite annoying. For the women who are wearing high heels, it might be a nice idea to give out flip-flops. May be they don't want to walk bare foot on the sand. But, they might really appreciate the small gesture. Also, you might want to give out light pashminas . Even in the summer, it can keep a women warm and she'll be very appreciative of that as well. Beach weddings are great. You can do the ceremony. But, be careful of doing the actual party. With serving food on the beach, definitely be aware of the local rules. Most will allow you to pass food, not to actually serve it, and also, ordering some plastic. Incorporating the beach into your wedding can come up at a few different points. Of course, you can have the ceremony out there. You can just have cocktails or may be an after-party at the end of the night. So, those were some tips on how to organize a beach wedding.
