Cancer affects everyone, regardless of age, gender, or social background, with 2.7 million individuals diagnosed in the European Union each year.

The EU is on a mission to enhance the lives of over 3 million people by 2030, and it is committing €378 million over the first three years to support a portfolio of research and innovation actions to provide a better understanding of cancer, allow for earlier diagnosis and optimise treatments, and improve cancer patients' quality of life during and after treatment.
