The 2025-2026 ice fishing season is finally upon us, and it is GO time!! This video captures my first ice fishing trip of the season, on Dec 7th, 2025. After the cold weather snap we had recently, most of the Saskatchewan lakes are making a lot of ice, quickly. There was about 6.5 inches of good black ice where we were on Pasqua Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada. In this video, I also included information such as: lures that work good for Walleye / Pike / Perch fishing, rods and reels suitable for ice fishing, underwater camera footage of fish eating and fish behaviour, ice fishing tent review of the Cabelas / Bass Pro Tent, two person fishing setup, and a good portable heater to use.
