Taliban says Afghan girls to return to school 'as soon as possible'

The Taliban has said Afghan girls will be allowed to return to school "as soon as possible". There had been uproar over the weekend when only boys were allowed to return to class. The group said it is finalising details before girls can return to secondary schools. It said a safe learning environment needs to be established, but did not give more details. Students in primary schools have resumed classes, segregated by gender.
