In a historic move, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has successfully set up 5 forward operating bases in the dense, Naxal-affected forests of Abujhmad, Chhattisgarh — a region untouched by roads and development for decades.

With bases now established at Mohandi, Kodliyar, Kutul, Bedmakoti, Padamkot, and Nelangur, the groundwork is laid for the first-ever highway (National Highway 130D) under the Bharatmala Project, connecting Narayanpur to Maharashtra.

For over 40 years, Abujhmad was considered a Naxal stronghold. Now, with ITBP securing the area, road construction can begin, ensuring connectivity, security, and progress for thousands of residents in this remote zone.
