Japan Railway Trip | Driving through the Seto Inland Sea travelling like a local in Japan

On our last day of our Japan Rail Pass trip, we drove from Onomichi, Hiroshima, through six islands (Mukaishima, Innoshima, Ikuchi Island, Omishima, Hakatajima and Oshima) and many amaxing suspended bridges within the Seto Inland sea before reaching Imabari in Ehime.

We stopped at various places along the drive for food and visited Dolphin Farm Shimanami and got really closed to a dolphin.

We took the express train from Imabari to Takamatsu before catching the Seto Sunrise Express sleeper train from Takamatsu to Tokyo.

Our 21 days itinerary:
Tokyo → Nagoya → Matsusaka → Ise → Suzuka → Kyoto → Osaka
→ Kobe → Himeji → Kurashiki → Hakata → Kurume → Kumamoto→ Aso→ Kurokawa Onsen→ Beppu→ Iwakuni → Miyajima → Seto Island trip → Tokyo
