60 Black River & Western 2-8-0 Consolidation (Lionel Legacy O Gauge Train)

Arrived this week. Lionel Legacy 2-8-0 Consolidation 3 rail o scale locomotive.

this one is meant to represent #60 on the Black River & Western railroad that runs in tourist operations between Flemington and Ringoes NJ.

sounds are great.
operation is smooth.

this one has 2 issues
1 - the provided dummy coupler does not fit the slot
2 - will not go into program mode

working with ‪@LionelModelTrains‬ to resolve

one little detail stood out. I also purchased a custom run for New Hope & Ivyland railroad 40, which is based on the same Lionel model. 40 is a Baldwin loco and has Baldwin plates. 60 is an Alco loco and has Alco plates... nice touch.

IRL the two locos operate just a few miles from each other, separated only by the Delaware River.
