The 12th #Wuzhen Theatre Festival kicks off in Wuzhen, #Zhejiang from October 16 to 26. This year's festival, themed "Fu Yao" (meaning "riding the rising wind to ascend"), symbolizes the dynamic and ceaseless movement of drama swirling like clouds. The festival features seven sections, including invited performances, youth competition and a theatre market. Over 11 days, 25 invited performances from 10 countries will stage 71 shows, while more than 2,000 ancient town carnival events will showcase diverse art forms from across time and cultures, exploring new possibilities for theatre.
