महाराजा अग्रसेन की कहानी | Maharaja Agrasen Story in Hindi

This video showcases the story of Maharaja Agrasen, an embodiment of Sacrifice, Compassion, Non-Violence, Messenger of Peace, World Prosperity and a True Socialist. Maharaja Agrasen was born on 15th September 3082 BCE to Suryavanshi Maharaja Vallabh of Pratap Nagar (of Modern day Rajasthan, India) in the last stage of Dvaapar Yuga. Prince Agrasen was very well known for his compassion, who never discriminated against anyone and the subjects were very pleased with the way he conducted himself during his childhood. During the martyrdom of Maharaja Vallabh, Prince Agrasen was 15 years old. Being the eldest son, Prince Agrasen was crowned as successor. When Agrasen became a young man, he attended the Swyamvara of the daughter of the King Nagaraj, Princess Madhavi. Many kings from around the world attended including Indra, the King of the Devas. In the swayamvara, Princess Madhavi selected Prince Agrasen, by putting the garland on him. This marriage caused a coming together of two different family cultures, Maharaja Agrasen was a Suryavanshi and Rani Madhavi was a Naagavanshi. Indra, the King of the Devas had been smitten by the beauty of Princess Madhavi and had planned to get married to her. However, now that he had been unable to marry her, he became very jealous and angry with Agrasen. To get revenge against Agrasen, Indra - as he was also the Lord of Rain, made sure that Pratap Nagar did not receive any rainfall. As a result, a frightening famine struck the Pratap Nagar kingdom. Emperor Agrasen then waged war against Indra, and because he had dharma on his side, his army vanquished Indra's forces and put them to flight. Faced with this situation, Indra approached Narada, the celestial sage, for mediation between him and Emperor Agrasen. Narada, then mediated a peace between them.

Agrasen started a severe penance to propitiate Lord Shiva in the city of Kashi. Pleased with the penance of Agrasen, Lord Shiva appeared and advised him to propitiate Goddess Mahalakshmi. Maharaj Agrasen again started meditating on Goddess Mahalakshmi, who appeared before him. Goddess Mahalakshmi then blessed Agrasen and suggested that he take up the Vaishya tradition of business for the sake of prosperity of his people. She then asked him to found a new kingdom and promised that she would bless his descendants with prosperity. So he gave up his Kshatriya tradition.

With the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi, Agrasen started out with the Queen to travel all over India and select a place for a new kingdom. During his travels, at one place he found a few tiger cubs and wolfs cubs playing together. To Maharaja Agrasen and Queen Madhavi, this was an auspicious indication that the area was Veerabhoomi (land of the brave) and they decided to found their new kingdom at that location named Agroha. Agroha became prosperous as agriculture and trade flourished.


यह कहानी है महाराजा अग्रसेन की। महाराजा अग्रसेन (Maharaja Agrasen) का जन्म, प्रताप नगर राज्य के सूर्यवंशी महाराजा वल्लभ के घर, द्वापर युग के अंतिम चरण में हुआ था। यह राज्य सरस्वती नदी के किनारे स्थित था। अग्रसेन के जन्म के समय, ऋषि गर्ग ने कहा था कि अग्रसेन, बहुत बड़ा, और तेजस्वी राजआ बनेगा। यह एक नयी शासन व्यवस्था का निर्माण करने में भी सक्षम होगा। महाराज अग्रसेन का विवाह राजा नागराज की राजकुमारी, माधवी से हुआ। यह शादी दो अलग अलग परिवार एवं दो भिन्न भिन्न संस्कृतियों के मध्य संपन्न हुई। ऐसा इसलिए हुआ क्योंकि राजकुमार अग्रसेन एक सूर्यवंशी थे और राजकुमारी माधवी एक नागवंशी. अग्रसेन ने काशी नगरी में भगवान शिव को प्रसन्न करने के लिए घोर तपस्या शुरू की। अग्रसेन की तपस्या से प्रसन्न होकर, भगवान शिव प्रकट हुए और उन्होंने उन्हें, देवी महालक्ष्मी को प्रसन्न करने की सलाह दी। महाराज अग्रसेन अब देवी महालक्ष्मी का ध्यान करने लगे, जो उनके सामने प्रकट हुईं। देवी महालक्ष्मी ने तब अग्रसेन को आशीर्वाद दिया और सुझाव दिया कि वे अपने लोगों की समृद्धि के लिए, व्यवसाय की वैश्य परंपरा को अपनाएं। फिर उन्होंने अग्रसेन को एक नया राज्य स्थापित करने के लिए कहा, और उनसे वादा किया, कि वे उनके वंशजों को समृद्धि का आशीर्वाद देंगी। इसी कारण, अग्रसेन ने अपनी क्षत्रिय परंपरा को त्याग दिया। महाराजा अग्रसेन ने अग्रोहा राज्य स्थापित किया। आगे चल कर, महाराजा अग्रसेन का अग्रोहा, कृषि और व्यापार का प्रसिद्ध केन्द्र बन कर निखरा और एक समृद्ध शक्तिशाली देश बन गया.
