In this video we ride the South Rim Trail out at the Gooseberry Mesa Network of trails.

The weather was a bit all over the place, it snowed on us which was kind of cool and cold ;) haha

This is probably my second or third Gooseberry Video so I tried to keep it around the 20 minute mark. The views are some of the best but then again, all the trails in this area (Hurricane/St. George) have stunning views. The trail offers a wide scope of features from regular smooth dirt sections lumped into some short techy punchy bits and those will connect you to the bigger rock landscape sections, that remind me of Slickrock in Moab.

One of the cool things about this trail and those like it...they offer a little something for everyone. Beginners will most likely spend some time hike-a-biking but it's worth it. I believe it also makes you a better rider, especially when you go back home and ride your local trails...they seem easier. There are so many different lines and sections to session. This comes in handy on say group rides with a wide range of skill levels. The faster more experienced people can ride ahead and then find a spot to wait, and there will usually be stuff for them to play/session while they wait. This takes some of the pressure off the back of the pack, knowing those who are waiting, are still having fun and have something to keep them entertained/busy. :)

Speaking of sessioning...there are ENDLESS possibilities. It's a great place to work on those short punchy uphill lifts, the short bursts of downhill chunk and of course the roll down lunge and drop skills!!
