BECKINSALE THINKS EVERY CREATIVE VOICE SHOULD BE 'ENCOURAGED'
The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences admits it's trying to do better with its lack of diversity and actress Kate Beckinsale supports that.
"I think everybody who has something to say, who has a commitment to, you know, have their voice heard and make something creative - whoever they are - should be encouraged. That's what I think," she said Saturday (23 JAN. 2016) at the Sundance Film Festival premiere of her movie "Love and Friendship."
The film is based on a posthumously published Jane Austen work called, "Lady Susan." It tells the story of young widow Lady Susan Vernon, who moves to the estate of her in-laws in order to quash rumors of her scandalous dalliances. Whilst there, she decides to re-marry and find a husband for her daughter as well.
The drama, directed by Whit Stillman, stars Chloe Sevigny, Emma Greenwell and Xavier Samuel.
