What is an adverb? An adverb is used to modify a verb and can also modify an adjective or another adverb of a phrase in a sentence.

An adverb of manner show how an action is done. You will learn the 6 ways on how to form Swahili adverbs of manner in this video. The following are the ways to form adverbs

1. Using the single words
2. Using prefix ki- or vi- attached to adjectives or nouns.
3. Using u- or w- prefix attached to adjectives or nouns to form adverbs.
4. by duplicative adverbs.
5. By using the word "kwa".
6. By imitative adverbs which represents an idea in sound.
