Our lawn care company (GrassMaster Lawn Service) was working on a leaf cleanup job just outside of Poplar Bluff, MO when we noticed this buck (already shed it's antlers) watching us blow leaves! It stayed around the entire time we worked on this property and we were there for most of the day! After watching it feed and try to move on the steep hillside it was apparent that it was injured in some way. It looked a little wet like it could have been worn out from swimming across the river. Also, hunting season ended about 2 weeks prior to this leaf cleanup job so that may have been the case as well?! It never moved from the area that it was in and when we left it was bedded down in the same spot where we first noticed it. It was only about 10 yards away the entire time. We didn't get to finish the leaf cleanup job on down the stairs and around the trolley because we didn't want to stress the deer out more. We'll head back this Spring and finish the leaves that we weren't able to get to. Just wanted to share this video of the buck watching us take care of the lawn and leaf cleanup job outside of Poplar Bluff! He may have just been impressed with our new (very powerful) Redmax EBZ8500 Backpack Blower?!
