I did not expect this move this early into earnings season.

Intuit is up roughly 6 percent after earnings, but the real story is what happened next. Its results pulled the entire software and SaaS sector higher. Names like Adobe and ServiceNow caught strong bids after weeks of getting crushed.

Intuit beat revenue expectations and delivered a massive EPS surprise, but what really mattered is what didn’t happen. Despite nonstop fear that AI agents will replace traditional software, Intuit showed strong retention, pricing power, expanding margins, and record profitability. Customers did not leave. Margins did not collapse.

That directly challenges the idea that AI is immediately destroying SaaS business models.

This doesn’t mean volatility is gone forever. Fear will come back at some point. But this may be the first real crack in the narrative that software is doomed. By the end of the year, I think a lot of these names are closer to 52-week highs than lows.
