ResMed Climate Control is an amazing feature on AirSense 10 & Airsense 11 CPAP Machines.

Climate line enables you to change the Air Temperature & Humidity levels to suit your therapy needs.

We can run climate control in 2 modes
1. Automatic where the level of humidity is automatically adjusted in relation to the tube temperature. The warmer the air in the tube, the more humidity, the lower the air temp the lower the humidity.

When we set the tube temp too 'AUTO' the tube will attempt to stop the air temperature inside the tube from dropping below 27 degrees celsius or 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

To add more humidity to the air when climate control is on AUTO, you need to increase the tube temp (which is really the air temp inside the tube). When you do this, the humidifier will automatically increase the level of humidity as it aims for an 85% relative humidity of the new warmer air temp.

If the air is too warm, we can turn it down however this will result in a lower humidity level as colder air can hold less moisture.

2. Manual Mode.
When in manual mode, the air temp and humidity are now independent and we can change either one of these parameters without it affecting the other.

Each increase in the humidity level is a set amount of ABSOLUTE humidity that is added to the air, independent of the tube air temp.

This enables us to run a warm air temp with low humidity and vice versa, which we can not do when the climate control is set to AUTOMATIC.

I hope you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching!
