The Frederick C. Branch Leadership Scholarship is a Naval ROTC (NROTC) scholarship available specifically to students who plan to attend one of the 17 participating Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Named after the first African-American Marine Corps officer, this scholarship provides financial assistance for students aiming to become Marine Corps officers.

Key eligibility requirements include:

• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Be between 17 and 23 years old at the time of application.
• Be accepted to or enrolled in one of the 17 HBCUs offering NROTC programs.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Meet the physical standards and moral character required by the Marine Corps.
• Achieve a minimum score of 74 on the ASVAB, 22 on the ACT, or a 1000 on the SAT (Math and Evidence-Based Reading).

The scholarship covers full tuition, fees, uniforms, and provides a monthly stipend that increases with each academic year (starting at $250/month for freshmen) .
