Whirligig Wars 2014 Entry

I went with a magician themed silhouette style Whirligig. Each time the magician raises his arm, a rabbit pops out of his top hat.

The table acts as a foil keeping the whirligig facing into the wind. I painted it to look like it was covered with a draping cloth adding stars, diamonds, and moons to make it look more realistic.

Since magicians do card tricks as well, the fins on the propeller feature Hearts, Diamonds, Spades and Clubs to resemble playing cards. I went with just the symbols similar to playing cards from the old west.

My main reason for choosing a magician was: My son Landen loves magic, he has several magic kits and regularly puts on shows for us. We call him: "The Great Landini!" This whirligig is dedicated to him.
