The UK and France signed a declaration of intent on deploying troops to Ukraine if a peace deal is made with Russia.

Donald Trump says Ukraine, not Russia, is holding up a peace deal. While, Russia has warned that Western forces would become ‘legitimate combat targets’.

The agreement on a post-peace plan has come in the absence of peace, which Russia has said is not possible with Western military forces operating in Ukraine.

So, could the UK-France troop pact pave the way for peace in Ukraine?
