Fire Truck Goes Down While Fighting A 10,000 Acre Wildfire!

This type 4 wild land fire engine was working on the Crazy Creek Fire in the Ochoco National Forest, which as of editing this video is 15,000 acres and 0% contained, when it went into limp mode due to an emissions derate. Luckily the crew was able to drive it away from the active fire and down to base camp where they sent me to go pick it up, but this just goes to show how dangerous this emissions equipment is on these emergency vehicles. There is absolutely nothing physically wrong with the truck that should stop it from functioning as normal and continuing to do its job. But due to some sensor or computer glitch, the truck was brought down in a dangerous situation with a crew of fire fighters out on the line. Now on top of that, the truck has to be towed to a dealership where it will be out of commission for who knows how long during a time when we are already stretched WAY too thin on fire fighting resources.
