"Waterline" Photography Exhibition | Katheti

The indissoluble link between Poros and seamanship in a nostalgic photography exhibition. Katheti's summer program opens this year with a unique exhibition. The photography exhibition "Waterline" is both a promise and a wish. A dedication to their beloved father, Fotis Metaxas, and an everlasting remembrance from his children, Lambrini and Spyros Metaxas.
The exhibition will be hosted at Katheti from June 1 to 12 and will be open to the public daily between 7:00 and 11:00 pm. The opening will take place on Saturday 1 June at 8:00 pm.

The love of Lambrini and Spyros for their parents is revealed through their words: "With photographic-cinematic clicks, our father, Fotis Metaxas, with his Zorki camera, bought from Russia, despite his hard work as a cook on Niarchos' sea-going freighters and gas tankers, unfolds the '50s and '60s, taking us to ports and naval stations, making us companions on board! Sixteen years of separations and welcomes, anguish and nostalgia, faith and devotion, corresponding with his beloved wife, Pipitsa Koutouzi, who was his great love and strength and the main reason why he managed to survive 3 shipwrecks".
