THE BEST WAY TO MAKE CUSTOM VAN'S ROLLER SKATES shoes with a reinforced insole for outside skating

I was trying to think of a light weight reinforced insole and fiberglass is what I came up with. THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO BUILD CUSTOM VAN'S ROLLER SKATES IF YOU NEED MORE REINFORCEMENT for out door RAMP , DERBY skating.

I have built many of these vans skates now and this step by step video is the easiest way I have found to build a comfortable, light weight, durable roller skate out of a skate shoe such as vans / converse.

I am using fiberglass for the reinforced insert on these. If I could go back I would have made all my skate shoes this way.

Ingredients
Vans pro skate shoe $80
Sure grip super x plates $54
Sure grip dance plug toe stop $9
Sure grip wood wheels $35
Bones Reds precision bearings
Fiberglass resin, hardener and cloth $13
10/32 by 1.5 inch screws
10/32 locking nuts

Here is a link to my sons Vans skates. I used old roller skate parts and a wood insole. We also had to rebuild the padded insole. In these we used a wood stabilizing insole ( the fiberglass is better)
