Revenue Canada Fake Call! Fraud! Beware!

I have been getting a lot of calls from fraudulent individuals who pretend I owe 5,000$ to revenue Canada. They even pretend there is an arrest warrant against me!

They impersonate Revenue Canada investigator and even RCMP agents.

I was able to record almost the whole thing this time and I am sharing with the Facebook community.

I edited the audio a little to remove blanks, and a phone number I let them have, hoping I would get the other call back from a fake RCMP officer.

Anyway;

Here is how they operate;

1) You get a call and a recorded message, asking you to call them.
2) Then you call back (the 226 area code is a Canadian area code). They will pretend they find the file on you, etc, and they even call the RCMP for you to negociate the arrest warrant. Nice guys!
3) I did not get that other fake call from the fake RCMP agent, I wish I did. But I am pretty sure that at some point I would have been offered a way to pay the 5k via a wire transfer.

I called the real RCMP and I was told they know about this, it's being investigated, the fraud comes from abroad. The real RCMP agent did note the number I provided and he suggested that I share this, so people know about this, so here is the video audio I made of it.

You can hear the noise in the background letting us know they have a real call center and a real operation going on.

Notice that I said that my name was "Martin ToiFraudeur" ("Toi Fraudeur" is French for "You fraud"), and when asked to provide my phone and an address, I actually gave them the real RCMP phone number, and the real RCMP address and guess what, they were able to find my file! (Yeah right!)

In the process… I was ready to pay! Don’t get me wrong! I pretended that I was ready… And the guys at the other end needed to stick to his script.
