Secure the pipe: Clamp the pipe in place so it won't move during the cut. You can also brace it with blocks or a vise. 

Step-by-step instructions

Mark the cutline: Use a marker to draw a straight line where you want to cut the pipe. You can wrap a piece of paper tightly around the pipe to create a perfectly straight guide line.

Start the grinder: Before touching the pipe, turn the grinder on and let the wheel reach full speed.

Make the cut:

Slowly bring the spinning wheel to the marked line on the pipe.

Apply steady pressure and move the grinder smoothly along the cutline.

Let the wheel do the work; don't force it.

Finish the cut: Continue cutting until the pipe is completely severed. Be mindful of sparks and debris.

Remove burrs: Once the cut is complete, use a metal file to smooth down the inside and outside edges of the cut pipe to remove any sharp burrs left by the grinder.
