Описание к видео I Call Your Name - Guitar Tutorial (4K) - Rickenbacker 325c64 - Rickenbacker 360/12c63

I Call Your Name was recorded on March 1, 1964. it was one of three songs recorded during a three hour session from 10 am tro 1:30 pm. After they finished I'm Happy Just To Dance With You and Long Tall Sally, I Call Your Name was finished at approximately noon.

The group did seven takes (only three of them were complete) live with all four Beatles on their usual instruments. Take seven was the best. Two overdubs were done, one was Lennon's double-tracked vocals and the other was Starr's cowbell. With that, the session was wrapped up by 1:30 pm.

THE GUITAR PARTS:
Not really too much remarkable with these parts. There's nothing that REALLY stuck out to me but there's a couple things to take note of here...

Lennon used his 1964 Rickenbacker 325. He just plays through the song. Nothing here is that out of the ordinary however, pay attention to the voicing for E7 he decides to use for the majority of the song. The only other thing in john's part is at 1:35 where the strumming pattern switches and he plays a couple of swung notes and then goes back to the normal pattern that was used throughout the rest of the song. Lennon's strumming here is disciplined, much like on You Can't Do that.

THE GUITAR PARTS
This demonstration is GUITARS ONLY
Harrison used his 1963 Rickenbacker 360/12, and while is part isnt too crazy either, theres a few things to take note of...
0:10; he plays both the A and D strings on that little riff
0:24. Open D string
0:38. Another open D string hit. Almost sounds like a flub lol
0:47. The last part of the phrase played over the C#m is played differently than the second time (1:34)
1:54. Both the A and D strings are left open

GEAR USED:
2021 Rickenbacker 325c64 (courtesy of ‪@beatlesrevisited8350‬ . Thanks Jack!)

My videos are made for more experienced guitarists who want to improve the way they play songs from The Beatles catalog.
