I will preface this by saying I am not a full time professional painter. But I do paint as part of the professional services I offer as well being a part time stripper and doing hair. So to get into it, it doesn't matter if your using an airless or a hvlp spray set up. turbine or compressor, most of us could use some tips on getting more consistent results. In this video I discuss and show how to use a viscosity cup. so you can consistently have your paint flow at the same rate. a wet thickness gauge. so you can check that your laying down an appropriately thick coat. As well as straining your paint. these are 3 of the least expensive steps you can use to get a better finish from your existing equipment and be more consistent in your ability to recreate the same finish over and over. As well at the end of the video I throw in a bonus tip for aerosol paint cans and getting better results when using them.
