Celebration Grids: Celebrate Learning

Описание к видео Celebration Grids: Celebrate Learning

https://management30.com/practice/cel... How do you celebrate learning? We either work and live in a corporate world that focuses on best practices and steps to follow or in the startup world we like to pretend we relish a culture of failure, but then only publicly glorify the winners. The danger is that when you only focus on success, you stifle innovation, and if you only celebrated failure, well you wouldn't be in business much longer.

It's important to foster a culture of learning. We run experiments when we don’t know if the behavior is going to be successful or not. At this point, learning is optimal when we run experiments when there's a 50/50 chance of succeeding or failing. We don't learn anything when we repeat good practices nor when we repeat mistakes.

Celebrate your experiments and the things you learn from it, even when you fail. Try using a Management 3.0 Practice: Celebration Grid!

Simply split the a piece of paper into three columns: Mistakes, Experiments, and Practices; and split the top half into Successes and the bottom into Failures, with a diagonal line running from top left to bottom right. The best moment to celebrate learning falls in that middle with a 50/50 chance of success or failure.

These successful experiments can now become repeatable best practices.

Why don't you have a learning celebration tomorrow?!
