After my very first 2-stage rocket launch failed because of failure to ignite the second stage motor I needed to find a way to insure that the second stage would ignite reliably. I suspect that the first failure was that the fuse to the second motor didn't remain in place properly as it burned. To correct this assumed situation, I "glued" some fuse into a motor using nitrocellulose lacquer mixed with black powder and aluminum powder mix. This is the same mix I coat my igniters with and which has worked very well for igniting these black powder rocket motors. This test indicates that "gluing" the fuse into the motor will work to hold the fuse in place and insure next-stage ignition.
