Cat and Fiddle Pass - Buxton to Macclesfield - DJI Pocket 2

Enjoy a scenic drive through trunk roads and country lanes from Markeaton Island in Derby to the Staffordshire village of Tutbury.

Starting in the Derbyshire town of Buxton, we head up into the hills on the A53, then A54, before continuing on the A537. Passing the Cat and Fiddle Inn which gives the pass its name, we encounter many hairpin bends as we cross the mountains, with grand views towards Manchester, all in glorious sunny conditions.

The drive was filmed with a DJI Pocket 2 camera using follow mode. As this is a gimbal camera, the lens will stay perfectly level, even when the road isn't. Therefore, you may see some occasional strange angles with the horizon line, as the camera deals with the camber of the road. Rest assured, it's the road surface that is changing, the camera lens is level just as your own head would be when you drive yourself. The mount used is a bulldog clip style tripod mount, attached to the dashboard.
