From chilla ganv to dariyaganj An online book piracy network operating through BookBhandar.in has been busted by the Delhi Police Crime Branch. What looked like a genuine online bookstore offering 50–60% discounts was actually a massive racket selling pirated academic books across India.

The investigation began with the arrest of Anmol Kiro from Mayur Vihar, who created the website, Instagram page, and digital payment channels under the name FinsKool Education. As police followed the trail, one link after another surfaced—leading to raids in Ganesh Nagar, Pandav Nagar, Jaitpur, Lahori Gate, Hauz Qazi, and Farash Khana.

A total of 7–8 people connected to the scam were detained. Police recovered hundreds of pirated books, a printing press, printing plates, and evidence of nationwide shipping. The accused were sourcing cheap fake books from Daryaganj and selling them online as “discounted original copies.”

• Naved – Supplier of pirated books from Lahori Gate
• Kamran – Ran a printing press in Hauz Qazi; printing machine seized
• Hilal Mohammed – Prepared printing plates/negatives (Farash Khana)
Over 700+ pirated books, printing machines, and negatives were seized.
