The Zhurihe Combined Tactical Training Base of the People's Liberation Army of China , referred to as the Zhurihe Training Base , is located between Zhurihe Town , Sunite Right Banner, Xilingol League , Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Baiyinchaoketu Town , Siziwang Banner, Ulanqab League . It is a training base affiliated to the Northern Theater Command of the People's Liberation Army of China .
The Zhurihe Training Base is capable of conducting division -scale land and air combat exercises. It is equipped with fully computerized C4ISR simulation equipment and barracks, hospitals , logistics and other facilities for more than five divisions . It can conduct exercises over an area of more than 1,000 square kilometers, making it the largest land warfare military training base in Asia .

HISTORY
Zhurihe Training Base is named after the town where it is located . "Zhurihe" is a Mongolian transliteration meaning "heart". The predecessor of Zhurihe Training Base was the enhanced tank division tactical training ground established in 1957. At that time, it was just a barracks that provided housing and water and electricity supply for the training troops. In 1994, Zhurihe Training Base was listed as a key project of the military's " Ninth Five-Year Plan" construction plan by the Central Military Commission . In July 1997, in order to meet the needs of future high-tech joint warfare, the Central Military Commission decided to expand the original armored force training ground of the Beijing Military Region into the largest and most technologically advanced joint tactical training base of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. In 2000, the "five major systems" of information systems pioneered by the military passed the national appraisal. On August 25, 2003, the Chinese People's Liberation Army opened the Zhurihe Training Base to foreign troops for the first time

ON JULY 30, 2017, to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army, the Chinese People's Liberation Army held a grand military parade at the Zhurihe training base that shocked the world. This military parade displayed advanced weapons of all branches of the military, breaking the previous practice of square parades and adopting a three-dimensional formation of actual combat. The starting point of the military parade was India's provocative behavior in the Doklam area, which demonstrated China's strong strength and forced India to finally withdraw its border troops.
