In this clip from Smokey and the Bandit II, legendary country singer Don Williams appears as himself when the Bandit, Snowman, Frog and the Doc head into town to hear some music.

As they enter the club, you can hear Don and his band performing the end of "Tulsa Time," which had reached number one on the Country Billboard Chart in 1979. The song was written by Danny Flowers, who also appears in the movie as part of Don's band (lead guitar/backing vocals), along with Biff Watson (keyboards/guitar), Dave Pomeroy (Bass) and Pat McInerney (drums). They were known as The Scratch Band and toured with Don for many years.

The next song featured is "To Be Your Man." This was co-written by Don Williams and Danny Flowers. Despite Don introducing it as his "new song," it was never released as a single, nor was it available on any of his albums. However, it was included on the movie's original soundtrack album.

The filming of this scene took place over the course of three days at some point between January and April 1980. The location was a nightclub called "The Tiger's Paw Lounge" (later renamed "The Silver Spur") in West Palm Beach, Florida. It was situated at the intersection of S Congress Ave and Forest Hill Blvd.

In the movie, the club has a smoky haze which, according to an eyewitness from the time, was achieved with Kerosene based fog machines which the production team had installed. After a while, the smell was extremely unpleasant to say the least!
