This video tutorial is designed to help students conduct an analysis of the relationship between the spatial access to fast food and fitness levels among 5th graders in Los Angeles County using the Ordinary Least Squares regression tool in ArcPro GIS.

By using a proxy measure of neighborhood fitness (5th-grade physical fitness tests conducted at local elementary schools over a 15 year period) we can estimate the effect of the density of fast-food businesses (location quotient) in the neighborhoods of Los Angeles, after controlling for the effects of ethnicity, income, educational attainment, and unemployment.

Part 2 walks students through the steps necessary to run the ordinary least squares regression tool and how to read the model diagnostics in the output window (or .pdf file) as well as the map of residuals created by the tool.
