Track-Kit provides transparency for testing rape kits

Maryland launched a new program that will provide more accountability and transparency when it comes to testing rape kits and prosecuting those cases. A new online program called Track-Kit could prevent that from happening again. From now on, every rape kit will be tagged with a barcode when it's collected. The website has contact information for each jurisdiction if the process seems stalled. Sexual assault advocacy groups also have access to the database and can inquire on behalf of the victim.
