Alex Metric & Ten Ven's 'Transmission 1' is their first release on Diynamic, although their productions are not unheard of in the label's orbit as Solomun has been supporting them heavily in his sets throughout recent months. Opening track 'The Q', much like the closing track 'Plates', are reminiscent of old UK garage raves with a hint of acid. Minuscule shifts in the pitch give that certain cassette-nostalgia, transporting the listener back to the early 90s. The centre piece titled 'Nebula' is a driving melodic deep house tune with a hefty break that brings things to a halt right at its centre, only to return with the catchy riff that is its main feature.
